Have you ever wanted to make music or be in a band but felt excluded or unable to?
Not Enough Fest Edmonton will be an all-ages festival in the Spring of 2016 of all-new bands, to support more women, queer and trans folks getting involved in music.
Do you think you might be interested in getting involved?
On Sunday, January 17th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, NEF is hosting a free, all-ages social mixer to help those of you wanting to play music meet potential bandmates. Old pros and brand newbies are encouraged to attend! We will have some fun activities to help facilitate the mingling, and plenty of snacks (let us know if you want to help provide snacks!).
This event is specifically for those interested in playing Not Enough Fest. We appreciate our allies and will have more events open to them in the future, but this event is women, queer and trans exclusive.
Let’s get to know each other in a safe space with activities, snax, & a low pressure environment!!!
We have a few surprise activities that may or may not involve making some noise!
Harcourt House, 10215 112 Street, Edmonton, AB
– No stairs to get in or out of the building, and it is wheelchair accessible, with a wide front doorway.
– There are two private gender neutral bathrooms, one of which has a support bar and will be clearly marked. The doorway dimensions are 80″” tall by 30″” wide. The internal dimensions of the washroom is 55″” x 60″”.
– This is an artist space with many different materials being used, including clay, paint, glue etc. Because of this, there is a lot of dust and fumes.
– Due to the nature of the event, there will be a lot of noise, and it will likely be quite loud.
Nearby bus stops and bus routes are: #5, #120, #135, #2, #112 and #8
This is a Not Enough Fest community building event, so come ready for a good time and help us make it a blast! All ages are welcome!
